WHO WE ARE AND OUR MISSION STATEMENT

StopSmartGrid.org is a group of US citizens from all walks of life, with different religious, racial, socio-economic, and political backgrounds and affiliations but sharing one common goal…to stop all funding of smart grid in the United States and abroad and to begin to undo some of the damage that has already been done by this illegal and multi-dimensionally violating program.

Initially, the group started when in July of 2013, approximately 3 or 4 weeks after PG@E was served with a mass tort lawsuit for health effects from smart meters and smart grid, ex-PG@E consultant/current Congressman Jerry McNerney (D-CA) filed a bill in Congresses Energy And Commerce Committee to make smart grid mandatory for the United States of America. The timing of this filing was uncanny and we believed it to be a way that PG@E sought to try to shirk responsibility for the health effects that the smart meters and smart grid which had been rolled out in their service territory, had created amongst their customer base. The smart grid program has been PLAGUED with problems ever since its roll out, however, most US citizens have found that the very agencies that are supposed to “look out for consumers” when it comes to utilities and deal with issues such as health and safety, are actually run by ex-heads of large utility companies and their associated and affiliates and therefor are unable to fulfill their duty to look out for the public’s interests due to CONFLICT of interest. The citizens of the United States have overwhelmingly found no help at all when complaining of heath effects, over billing, privacy invasion, fire hazard and a myriad of other problems related to smart grid and smart meters. Thus they have turned to the only place where they might find justice and stop this rampant abuse by our utilities and government agencies who were clearly put in place to look out for the utilities best interests as opposed to the citizens…a court of law. Thus the introduction of a bill like HR 2685 which calls for mandatory smart grid in the US, stands to threaten citizens last hope of remedy, help and justice on the issue of smart grid/smart meters and all of the violations that it comes with, including health and safety and basic Constitutional law.

We hope that the materials contained within this website and our outreach to Congress will curtail this insidious program and bring our lives and the US back to stability and lawfulness.
